Tougher penalties for fly-tipping proposed

Wychavon District Council is set to consider much tougher penalties for fly-tippers, with the maximum fixed penalty rising from £1,000 to £5,000 — welcome news across the rural lanes of the Lenches, where dumped waste is a recurring problem. More from Evesham Observer →

Severn Trent update — South Lenches: South Lenches Parish Council reports the persistent Evesham Road and Hipton Hill leaks are down to the old water main, which Severn Trent must decommission before the flow can stop; timing is still to be confirmed. Further planned works follow at Hill Furze Road, Sheriffs Lench (13–26 October) and Handgate Lane (27 October–29 November).
