Lenches Lunch Club

We are a small ground of friends who meet regularly every fortnight on a Wednesday lunch time at 12:30 pm.

These lunches were started from an idea several years ago by Gill Proops and myself meeting in the library at Church Lench School, and sharing our lunchtime with the children at the school.

​

Over the years I have continued to arrange these meetings which now take place at varying venues in the local areas. We visit local restaurants, garden cafes and pubs to enjoy a few hours with good food and time spent together!

I arrange the venues a week beforehand and send out details to everyone on my mailing list requesting that anyone interested contacts me no later than two days before the date of the lunch. This enables me to confirm the exact numbers to the venue. I am always happy to check out new venues suggested by the group members!

The only occasion I have to take a deposit for the meal is for the Christmas lunch which has to be booked many months in advance. Otherwise, everyone pays individually on the day.

I think I can say that we have had many enjoyable lunches over the years and hope that we will be able to continue to do so in the future!
